Welcome to Luke's Barbering Tales: A Journey of 30 Years and Counting!

It's strange to think that after all these years of holding clippers, cutting hair, and meeting so many incredible people from all over the world, I'm now typing away, introducing myself to the blogging universe.

Let's start with the basics. My name is Luke Dolan, a proud father of four and a barber with a burning passion for the craft. Age has only made my love for barbering grow stronger, and at 44, I still find joy in the little moments, be it a perfect fade or the smile of a satisfied customer.

One of my proudest moments as a father is watching my son, Rhys Dolan, take on the mantle and join the family business. He's not just a part of the team; he's the manager of 'Luke and Company Barbershop', right here on Ruislip High Street.

Speaking of the High Street, it's been our home for a decade. Every morning as I walk in, I’m reminded of the countless memories we've created here, the stories shared, and the transformations achieved. And while I've been fortunate to travel the globe teaching barbering, there's a unique charm to our spot in Ruislip that always brings me back.

A significant chunk of my journey involves my association with Uppercut Deluxe. As an ambassador for them for ten long years, I've had the privilege to represent a brand that aligns with my values and dedication to the craft. It's partnerships like these that have made my career a truly blessed one.

In this blog, I hope to share tales from my 30 years in barbering - the highs, the lows, the funny stories, and those little snippets of wisdom that one gathers along the way.
